Part time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position available. The client is a middle age adult looking for a PCA 16 (flexible) hours a week.
He is a high functioning autistic man. He is very intelligent, creative, expresses himself well, has a good sense of humor, loves the outdoors, and can be a lot of fun. He lives in his own home 2 miles from downtown Minneapolis.
He needs help with:
Planning meals, shopping, and some meal prep
Dishes and cleaning
Keeping a calendar of activities and appointments
Qualifications and skills:
Experience with autism is important, whether prior work or family or friend
Fluent English is required
Prior PCA experience is desirable but not necessary
PCA certification is required. If you do not have one, we can help you:
Take a short on-line course by the state of Minnesota
Take an on-line exam for the certification
You will work through a PCA agency. A background check is required.
