Hello, I am a 39-year-old female quadriplegic who was injured due to a body surfing accident on a family vacation almost 20 years ago. I am currently looking for some caring and reliable nurses or personal care attendants. The job would require assistance with daily cares including dressing, range of motion, eating, assisting on outings and other health related cares. I have a built-in ceiling lift on a track from my bedroom to the bathroom which helps assist with my transfers and an accessible van, therefore having a valid driver’s license is necessary.
Although I am a quadriplegic, I stay pretty active with working part time. I have a FES bike at my house and I'm able to bike about 40 to 60 miles. I am looking for someone that may be interested in long-term employment and willing to help assist me live as full of life as possible despite my disability. I do however prefer females due to nature of my cares.
Here is a video I was in for Courage Center so you can get a look at some of the therapy I do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfq-AA18My8
Currently I have a variety of shifts that are available. If you're interested, please e-mail me with your resume. Competitive pay available.
Current openings include but not limited to:
Monday through Wednesday – 7 AM to 4 PM (or 6 PM)
Evenings – 4 PM to 11 PM or 6 PM to 12 AM
Weekends – 9 AM to 2 PM or based on your availability
Willing to be flexible with the hours for qualified candidates
Thanks!
Samantha
