Human Resources Generalist - Minneapolis, MN
Human Resources Generalist is a full time position located in our Minneapolis, MN headquarters.
Position Summary:
Execute HR strategies that support business goals, strengthen organizational effectiveness, impact performance and improve employee satisfaction. Provide HR consulting to employees and managers regarding employment and employee relations. Lead recruiting and on-boarding for assigned employee groups. Manage annual performance review process for assigned employee groups. The HR Generalist works on several projects at a time with strong attention to detail and organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field (may substitute 7+ years of related experience for degree)
Exceptional knowledge of fundamental HR concepts, practices, and procedures
3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role, preferably over multiple departments
Solid organizational, interpersonal and communications skills with ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all employees and leaders
Demonstrated knowledge of federal (i.e. FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, USERRA, etc.) and state (MN & WI) employment laws
Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
Able to work with limited direction
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Experience managing multiple projects, initiatives and executing to completion
Preferred Qualifications
PHR/SPHR certifications are desired
Healthcare experience highly desirable
Aviation experience highly desirable
Compliance/HIPAA
Must perform work in the manner prescribed by documented work process in order to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations, accreditation standards and laws that apply. Specifically work processes that involve state (MN and WI), federal, and Life Link III policies/practices and laws, for avoiding activities that constitute fraud and abuse
