Would you like to spend your days and nights walking, exercising, snuggling dogs, and cuddling with kitties? What could be better than getting paid to get puppy kisses and kitty nudges all day long?
We are looking to hire a fun loving, independent, and compassionate dog walker and pet sitter.
We are available to help our clients with visits and walks 365 days a year, and we walk a variety of dog breeds and sizes in all weather. We also have lots of kitty, bird, and small animal friends!
Our company is constantly growing, we are always expanding our client/animal family, and we provide services to our clients all over Minneapolis and surrounding cities.
Hours are NOT the same each day and vary based on our clients’ needs.
Training and Pet CPR/First Aid Course will be provided.
Positions Needed: Independent Contractors - you will receive 65% of every job completed to the company's standards.
Part Time: $150-$600 a week
Full Time: $500-$900
Week & weekend shifts - between 6am-12am
Set schedules: 6am-12pm, 10am-4pm, 2pm-8pm, 6pm-12am
We require at least 2 weekend shifts a month of at least 6hrs each day.
Overnights (12hr shift) - any day of the week - Start time usually between 6pm-9pm
We require you cover at least 1-2 overnights every week
We strive to fill your schedule as much as possible.
Holidays - We require you work every holiday and surrounding weekends. This is usually our busiest time of the year with visits, walks and overnights.
Business Hours: 7am-6pm, walks/visits completed outside of this will include an extra $5 fee.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow client and company specified instructions on pet sitting/walking routines.
Communicate with company management regarding updates to client or pet needs.
Use smartphone to track your jobs, maintain your schedule, and send detailed updates about your visits to all of our clients.
Drive between client homes to a variety of locations using your own personal vehicle.
Demonstrate and maintain proper and safe leash management skills while on your walks.
Demonstrate confidence in handling/walking strong dogs with reactive behaviors.
Recognize animal body language and behaviors.
General knowledge of leashes, harnesses, basic training commands.
Ability to lift up to 50bs, restrain a large dog, and walk dogs with leash reactivity.
Time management skills, and self motivation as you visit multiple clients to complete your shift in a timely manner.
Quick decision making skills during stressful situations, and pay close attention to detail.
REQUIRED
Must be available to work holidays and surrounding holiday weekends.
Be 18 or older with a valid drivers license
Have reliable transportation
Drive between client's residences utilizing personal vehicle. Service area includes: Ramsey, Chaska, Chanhassen & Woodbury radius.
Be willing to work Holidays
Have a smartphone to access internet and email.
Be capable of working independently
Pass Background Check
Experience:
Pet Care: 1 year (Preferred)
Dog Walking: 1 year (Preferred)
Animal Care: 1 year (Preferred)
Administering Medications to Animals (Preferred)
