Middle-aged housewife with 30 years perennial flower, container, & vegetable gardening looking for another woman to work alongside me once per week for 3 hours any morning from May-October. Day or the week & exact time is flexible. $30/hour.
I make a "punch list" each week, and tasks would vary, but would include things like:
Dig, divide and replant certain perennials
Plant new flowers or vegetables in containers or ground
Amend containers with new soil and fertilizer
Deadheading spent flowers/harvesting vegetables
Weeding
Fertilizing roses, tomatoes, etc.
Staking, protecting tender plants from the bunnies
Examining plants for signs of disease or pets and treating them
Offering opinions and helping make decisions about what looks good, could be better, or different way to approach a project would be appreciated.
Some heavy lifting - but I would not ask you to do something I am not willing to do myself. I have a wheelbarrow to move items from front to back, and organic waste from back to front.
Requirements:
Female, strong work ethic, interested in gardening, reliable, physical stamina. The more knowledgeable about gardening the better, but not required - if you are genuinely interested, I can provide instruction and education.
