Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of painters and oversee all painting projects
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes
- Apply paint or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Ensure proper coverage and quality of work
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Bid jobs for profitability
- Communicate with clients to understand their painting needs and preferences
- Provide guidance and training to junior painters
- Be willing to be cross-trained in the window cleaning industry for the slower times of the season
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in a leadership role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction plans a plus
- Knowledge of remodeling and renovation processes
- Skilled in drywall repair and preparation
- Experience with airless paint spraying techniques
- Strong math skills for construction estimating purposes
- Familiarity with concrete finishing techniques is a plus
- Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools related to painting and carpentry work
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
