General Pattern is hiring for a 3rd Shift Plastics Material Handler. This position is responsible for issuing and staging raw materials and tooling for production purposes. This includes inspecting, mixing, and placement of material into the production equipment as well as the movement of parts coming in and out of the production area.
3rd Shift shift, Monday – Friday, 10:30 pm - 7:00 am.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of Plastic Materials/Resins in an Injection Molding setting
Issuing and staging of material for production
Staging of equipment and tools for production
Mixing of material and filling manufacturing equipment with material for production
Organize and cycle count raw material
Processing returned material
Read and comply with work instructions, set up sheets and checklists
Report production information on a timely basis
Maintains an organized work area which includes the production floor, workstations, equipment, walkways and
community areas
Understands and complies with the General Pattern of professional competencies, policies and employee manual
Adheres to all safety policies - includes wearing protective equipment when required
Supports and complies with the companies Quality System and ISO
Assists in receiving and shipping when necessary
Completes all other work duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Ability to work within a team or independently.
Excellent attendance practices.
Must have reliable transportation.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Keep the work area organized and neat.
Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs.
Able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend throughout the day.
Able to use hands and fingers to reach and grasp.
Experience in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.
