What you will do as a Batch Color Mixer:
-Verify that raw materials are contained in various packaging types are approved for use before starting a batch
-Pre-weigh specified amounts of chemical ingredients according to batch ticket and transport items to the designated mixing area
-Add ingredients in a specified sequence into mixing vessels using pumps, hoses, hoists, or by hand, and operate mixing vessels to compound ingredients together involving mixing, heating, and cooling operations
-Monitor the compounding of the production batch throughout the specified steps of the production cycle, and clean kettles, tanks, hoses, and general work area after each production cycle
-Take samples to Quality Control for approval, and document steps and yield results in the process on batch records
What you need to be a Batch Color Mixer:
-High School Diploma preferred
-Knowledge of safety devices and mixing equipment
-Detail oriented with good organizational skills
-Ability to meet the lifting requirements of the company with or without reasonable accommodations – moderate to heavy physical activity on a daily basis
-Strong communication and time management skills
