Injection Molding Press Operator

General Pattern Company is seeking to fill roles in our Injection Molding Press Operator Department with candidates who enjoy a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Blaine 2nd shift, Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm.

Wyoming 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Properly operate and unload plastic parts from Injection Molding Machines.

Trim parts and perform secondary operations on parts as needed.

Review work instructions, shop traveler, box labels, packaging, etc., and confirm everything is correct prior to starting the production run.

Work with Shift lead and Quality to ensure all parts produced are conforming and meet print.

Prepare boxes for parts accurately and packs to standard pack quantities.

Prepare labels for boxes accurately and make sure each box is audited by shift lead before pulled for inventory or shipping.

Follow work instructions pay attention to cycle times and stay on the door/press to consistently run at the noted cycle time.

Conduct measurements accurately per the work instructions.

Keep accurate record counts of good and scrap parts.

Complete assembly to the part when required.

Complete paperwork at the end of a run and end of the shift.

Put away retains, gauges, etc. when the run is complete.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Ability to operate necessary manufacturing equipment.

Ability to work within a team or independently.

Ability to follow production schedules including written and verbal orders.

Ability to identify issues and take corrective action.

Ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and management.

Must be able to regularly lift 25 lbs.

Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for most of shift.

Must be able to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Must be able to use hand and finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to work in hot conditions.

Qualified candidates must be dependable, adaptable to changing work environments, and can communicate verbally with their team as well as read written instructions. Preference will be given to candidates with plastics manufacturing experience.
