Ackerman's Furniture Service in Burnsville, is seeking a full time Office Administrator. This individual will play a key role and is responsible for several day-to-day activities in order to keep the business’ operations running smoothly. This person is the first point of contact for internal employees and visitors to the office.
Administrative duties include handling phone calls, emails and other forms of correspondence. They will be responsible for maintaining and managing filing systems and calendars, detailing messages, along with a variety of other general office management tasks.
Some of their other duties include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the day’s schedules and appointments
Coordinate pickups + deliveries and work on data entry tasks, along with a variety of other front office responsibilities.
Manage letters and packages
Interface with vendors and various internal departments
Manage PO's and other partner billing / invoices; order services as required
Track and replace office supplies as necessary to avoid interruptions in standard front office procedures
Gathering pricing estimates + quotes from vendors
Office organization
Coordinate purchases + placing orders
Product research and sourcing
Maintain spec books and material samples library
Required Skills:
A successful Office Administrator candidate will hold a variety of skills and qualifications to complete the necessary duties, including but not limited to:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other office management tools and applications
Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills
Outstanding abilities to communicate in person, in writing and over the phone Coordinate purchases + placing orders
Ability to follow instructions and perform a wide range of tasks
Ability to take initiative and be proactive
Attention to detail and strong organization skills are a must
Preferred Skills:
The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or higher, with a degree or qualifications in secretarial studies being an advantage.
Must be detail oriented, highly self-motivated, adaptive, have the ability to multi-task and be an innovative team player
Must show initiative and detailed follow through
Ability to follow instructions
Good teamwork skills as well as ability to work independently
Effective problem solving
Must be super productive, interested, confident in your abilities
Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and think creatively
Must be dependable and have a sense of ownership
