The personal assistant is responsible for providing personal and light administrative support to the owner in a timely and professional manner. The job will vary from day to day.
This position requires strong organization and communication skills as well as a high level of confidentiality.
The successful candidate must be:
- Able to follow directions.
- Able to move from one task to another as needed per the owner's request.
- A careful driver with a good driving history that can operate a company vehicle.
Personal support entails the following:
- Errands (that may require substantial driving)
- Shopping (in store and online)
- Grocery shopping
- Gas fill up and car wash
- Travel arrangements
- Transportation to appointments
- Some household management
- Some cat care tasks
- Stocking kitchen supplies
- Lunch pick up
- Make coffee
Administrative support entails the following:
- Knowing how to use the internet, Google, Yahoo, any standard search engine, and make phone calls as necessary
- Office organizing at owner’s direction
- Being responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material
- Distributing documents to department employees such as staff calendar or task assignments and ensuring receipt by appropriate employee
- Scans and/or photocopies documents as necessary
- Occasional back-up support of reception desk
- General administrative support and related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
- Frequently be required to sit, stand and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, crouch and climb stairs. This is a physically active role.
- Operates in a professional office environment as well as the owners’ residence when personal tasks are done.
- Requires the willingness to drive to various metro locations with a Company Vehicle as needed.
- Regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
- Requires the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- 2+ years of proven similar experience
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Display a high level of confidentiality in all matters
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively while staying organized
