Maintenance Technician I

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a one-of-a-kind Maintenance person! In this role, you would work alongside, and closely with, our dynamic Property Manager. If you are a Jack/Jill of all trades, and a champion communicator, this is the place for you!ÂÂ

This is a Full Time opportunity, Monday - Friday 7;30 am - 4:00 pm + on call.

Maintenance Technicians perform technical and mechanical work in order to assure resident satisfaction, convenience and safety through the regular upkeep of the property/community, which includes property preventive maintenance, repair, replacement and inspection on a timely basis. This is a dual role of Maintenance and Caretaking.

Perform property maintenance or repairs as needed or requested by residents and/or property management staff. Property maintenance or repair duties may include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, keys and locks, appliances, lighting systems, carpentry, etc.

Perform duties to turn apartment; ensure that move-in standards are met.

Perform preventive maintenance according to established guidelines and schedules.

Perform exterior maintenance including roof, parking lot, and pool/recreation area maintenance, etc. (if applicable).

Perform grounds care including snow removal, trash pick-up, etc.

Maintain adequate maintenance supply inventory. Responsible for selecting and ordering supplies, and monitoring maintenance supply budget.

Schedule, coordinate and supervise work of outside vendors.

Maintain compliance and coordination with local, state, property and Company safety regulations. Coordinate with police, fire and utility inspectors.

Work alongside vendors for high volume apartment turns, usually in August.

Special Requirements

1+ Years relevant experience, preferably in the multi-housing industry.

Exceptional team member and communication skills required.

Plumbing and HVAC experience required.

Professional Licenses required: Boilers License

Employees must provide own hand tools and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.

Groundskeeping, painting and drywall experience.

Drivers License.
