Position Available:
Irrigation Sales Counter & Warehouse Associate. Full time.
Position Description:
MIDC Enterprises, a wholesale supplier of professional irrigation & landscape products since 1990, is seeking an Irrigation Sales Counter & Warehouse Associate. Position is full time, year-round. Responsibilities include the following.
Operate sales counter, warehouse, and yard.
Function as inside sales/customer service representative, answering phones, taking orders, answering questions, and
providing solutions to contractors, maintenance professionals, growers, and retail customers.
Perform shipping, receiving.
Perform local deliveries with company vehicles.
Mail/e-mail invoices and quotes.
Maintain a clean and orderly sales floor, warehouse, and yard, and perform routine maintenance.
Perform year-end physical inventory.
Assist with off-season administrative and marketing tasks.
Compensation includes:
Paid holidays.
Paid vacation.
Paid safe & sick time.
Health insurance.
Wages based on experience, skills, and abilities, with a minimum hourly wage rate of $22.00/Hr.
Position Requirements:
Three years minimum experience in the landscape/horticultural irrigation industry.
Knowledge of basic components of automatic landscape/horticultural irrigation systems and their proper use.
Good interpersonal communication skills, phone skills, and a positive attitude.
Ability to self-direct and multi-task.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Basic computer literacy.
Occasional Saturday morning hours during the season.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Forklift experience.
Basic irrigation design skills.
Commercial irrigation installation and/or service experience.
Experience with major manufacturer controller apps.
Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
(Word, Excel, WYSIWG, FX/CAD, irrigation F/X).
