IT Manager

Position Summary: You will serve as the top IT professional within the organization, overseeing all aspects of technology management, from hardware and software to networking and cybersecurity. You will coordinate the activities of external vendors, including a managed services provider, and work closely with one internal team member. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement, including providing desktop support when necessary.This is a direct hire opportunity that will pay between $90,000 - $130,000 annually and will be on site 4 days a week in Bloomington, MN. Your Responsibilities:Prioritize and manage new projects, daily operations, and support services to ensure smooth IT operations across all locations, including the Minnesota headquarters, a remote office in Florida, and remote sales teams.Install and maintain hardware, software, peripherals, and communication systems.Lead organizational technology projects, providing project support and overseeing the execution of departmental IT initiatives.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for system use and data security, and create instructional manuals for end-users.Create annual technology plans, research and evaluate new technology solutions, and draft business proposals, as well as capital and maintenance budgets for systems.Oversee and maintain all IT security programs, monitor potential security threats, and provide management with timely updates.Provide technical support to users, manage backup and security systems, and ensure effective communication with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to assess and fulfill IT needs.Develop and implement reporting processes to track performance and provide progress updates for operational and project activities; manage IT budgets and expenditures.Manage and support a range of systems including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, ERP systems, shipping systems, and IT ticketing systems.Oversee IT training for the company, ensuring that mandatory courses are completed and providing additional training sessions as needed.Create, modify, and distribute monthly reports, and maintain documentation of departmental procedures and processes in collaboration with a Technical Writer.Provide solutions for system integrations and troubleshoot related issues to ensure seamless operations.Ensure data management practices comply with regulatory requirements.Handle other duties as assigned, including training others on existing processes.Work Schedule: This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week. You will work four ten-hour days from Monday to Thursday, between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., at our Bloomington, MN location. Occasional extended hours may be needed.Required Qualifications:At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.Strong proficiency in reading and writing English.Experience with Visual Basic and C#.Preferred Qualifications:Over 10 years of experience in Information Technology.Key Skills and Competencies:Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, security protocols, network and systems administration, databases, data storage, and telecommunications.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.Excellent project management and decision-making skills.Ability to support both on-site and remote users via email, phone, and video chat.Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure and communicate changes in deadlines clearly.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft environments and expertise in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and network equipment.Familiarity with SQL functions, including the management of SQL Agents.Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and skilled in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.This role combines both high-level strategic management and hands-on technical support, requiring flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
