Oak Ridge Auto Body is looking to fill a full-time Auto Body Painter position.
Come work in a new shop with in-floor heat and air conditioning! Brand new over-sized down draft paint booth with mix room!
Compensation is salary, based on experience with monthly bonus potential.
We are seeking an individual who is experienced in painting, prep work, and light body work.
2 Years of spraying PPG Envirobase preferred. Certification helpful but not required.
A successful candidate will be dependable, punctual, work independently when needed, self motivated, have attention to detail, be able to stay on task, problem solve, be a team player, and have good communication skills.
Summary of Duties:
- Read and understand written estimates.
- Document repair and refinish steps.
- Perform skilled work in preparing vehicles for painting.
- Operate and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Mask and protect parts that are not to be painted.
- Use provided tools and resources to match the color on the vehicle.
- Maintains tools, spray equipment and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
- Keep the work area and paint booth clean.
- Change paint booth filters at scheduled intervals.
- Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
- Cooperate and assist coworkers in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Sand and Buff refinished panels as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Education:
Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
Be physically able to lift up to 50lbs
Be physically able to bend, kneel, and contort body to reach all areas needed to paint a vehicle.
