Must have following abilities or willing and able to learn them:
Be dependable. At work on time every day. (This one you must have on day 1)
Able to follow shop process.
Able to use shop equipment properly.
Dedicate time to continuous education.
Able to diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical/computer problems properly.
Continue to accumulate tools to improve performance.
Description of duties:
1. Remove and install transmissions
2. Flush transmission coolers and repair/replace cooler and lines as needed.
3. Use scan tools for relearning computer systems, clear codes, etc.
4. Perform repairs on vehicle wiring systems, computer systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems. Repairs on engines, differentials, transfer cases, driveshafts.
This position is very challenging and requires a very good technician. If you like working on vehicles and want to be a top-notch technician that makes a lot of money, this is the job for you. You will learn all aspects of automotive repair in this position. You must understand all vehicle systems, and able to repair them to do this job properly.
You do not have to be great to start. You just have to be willing to learn. If you are willing, we will train you.
