Landscape Management Technician

$1000.00 Hiring Bonus after 90 days of employment

Position Summary:

Landscape Management Technician is a role designed to support the crews, crew leads, and operations manager in daily activities. It is also a role that provides repairs for the buildings, greenhouses, and grounds of all PVG properties. This position provides service and repair to all vehicles, equipment, and trailers owned by Pleasant View Gardens as well as assists the Operations Manager in the direction of the Garden Support Team staff as needed.

This position also includes delivering materials to job sites, receiving deliveries, operating trucks and/or trailers , and snow removal.

Primary Duties:

knowledge of light carpentry skills for use in building repairs;

knowledge of electrical skills for low voltage lighting as well as building/greenhouse wiring;

knowledge of plumbing both interior and exterior;

mechanical skills for the repair and maintenance of small equipment, vehicles, trailers, and tools;

able to operate skid steer, backhoe, power tools, pickup/trailer combos, and other small equipment;

assists in the ordering and pickup of materials for inventory and ensures purchasing and delivery of materials are processed and logged correctly;

assists in inventory management and ordering of tools, safety supplies, chemicals, fuel, and other materials for business operations;

irrigation management including setting up the outdoor irrigation system and maintaining it through the season;

assists in management of tools and equipment including storage, operation, and maintenance;

assists in delivery of materials, tools, and vehicles to field crews;

ensures all projects and tasks are completed according to plans, are within budget, and according to deadlines;

communicates thoroughly with the Operations Manager and President including but not limited to issues with delivery, vehicle, and equipment issues;

role models ethics and integrity, as well as positively promoting company culture;

communicates well with others including but not limited to supervisors, crew leaders, and customers;

demonstrates leadership, initiative, and accountability at all times;

can multi-task with short timelines and limited resources;

is results-oriented in all aspects of performance;

Assist on the install or maintenance team when needed

Assists with snow blowing and winter shop duties

holds a valid DOT physical card and Class D license, and is willing to gain a class A license if needed;

has the ability to use Google suite including gmail, LMN, Clearly Inventory, and other software for the ordering, tracking, and management of materials and communication with other staff;

is capable of following direction and thoroughly communicates in writing and in person with superiors and other staff;

is capable of thorough attention to detail;

has the ability to be a team player and work independently;

professional attitude, receptive and respectful;

completes other tasks and jobs as assigned;

Required Skills, Functions, and Abilities:

Must have experience in operating a dump truck, driving a truck with a trailer, operating a skid steer, and bobcat.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 to $28.00 an hour depending on experience.
