We’re a locally owned, award-winning company that maintains single family homes, townhomes, and multi-unit apartment buildings throughout the Metro area, and are currently seeking a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. 

Description: The Lead Maintenance Technician is our top-level technician who can be dispatched to more challenging resident work requests and can complete smaller home improvement projects for our contracting division.

About the Lead Maintenance Technician position: 

Role Responsibilities: 

· Complete a variety of maintenance work orders in light plumbing, light electrical, basic home repairs

· Complete a variety of smaller home improvement projects such as, carpentry/trim work, tiling/grout, acrylic shower surround installation, deck/fence repairs, drywall repairs and patching, installation of stair railings and guardrails, etc.

· Perform at a higher degree of expertise and efficiency level than Level I & Level II Maintenance Tech positions. 

· Travel to and from job locations throughout the Twin Cities Metro area 

· Effectively communicate with customers and office team 

· Provide exceptional customer service to clients (owners & tenants) when completing work orders. 

· Identify additional maintenance needs at properties, i.e., private home maintenance or preventative maintenance 

· Partner with vendors involving work orders and accountability 

· Participate in company meetings 

Ideal Candidate: 

· 5+ years of maintenance tech, handyman or construction experience 

· Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of common household issues 

· Experience in estimating and/or budgeting projects

· Motivated self-starter with strong work initiative 

· Ability to work independently 

· Exceptional customer service skills 

· Strong problem-solving skills 

· Strong communication skills 

· Ability to use up-to-date technology 

· Positive attitude 

· Have reliable transportation and necessary tools for use on the job 

· Boiler License a plus 

· Bilingual a plus

· $32-$34/hour, DOE 

· Health insurance available 

· Company paid life insurance

· Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate, currently $0.67 per mile driven 

· Paid travel time between work orders 

· 1/2 - day Fridays; Office closes at noon every Friday
