Position Title: Shop Mechanic (Full-Time)

Position Summary:
The Landscape Company Shop Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all company equipment, tools, and machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on a wide range of landscape and grounds care equipment, including mowers, tractors, blowers, and other power tools. The mechanic will work closely with the operations team to ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition to support daily landscaping operations. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure productivity.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform regular preventative maintenance on all landscape & snow equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and
lubrication.
Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot a variety of engine and equipment problems.
Repair or replace broken or worn-out parts on equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Assist in maintaining the shop's safety standards and cleanliness.
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Communicate with the operations team to coordinate equipment repairs and replacements in a timely manner to prevent work
delays.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in the landscaping, construction, or similar industry.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with a wide range of power tools and machinery.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools as needed.
Valid driver’s license.
