POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility is to install commercial and domestic washers and dryers and refrigerators, and ranges, and dishwashers, and OTR microwave ovens in apartment complex laundry rooms/apartments in addition to private homes, townhomes, and businesses. The process will include uncrating and unpackaging new machines, preparing the machines, delivery and installation. This position also requires maintaining the inventory in the warehouse, and help with receiving inventory.
Doing so in a timely and professional manner is expected. Also, Jetz equipment should look appealing when finished installing; therefore, using hand tools to level machines, adjust doors, etc. is necessary. Plumbing tools are necessary as well, in order to connect water pipes to washing machines. When finished installing, it is essential to observe the complete cycle of the automatic washers and dryers and make proper adjustments to meet Jetz standards. It also requires programming new kitchen equipment and helping the end user to understand how to operate the appliances.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all duties as assigned by manager/supervisor
Have a competent skill set in using hand tools, and being able to deal with electrical and plumbing regs
Good safe driving record and performance
Loading and unloading appliances from a box truck
Installing all types of appliances into their locations in a neat and timely manner
Accurately complete installation paperwork
Maintain and account for all keys, tools, equipment, and materials and delivery vehicle
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic mechanical, problem solving, and oral/written communication skills. A technician must have the discipline to work with little supervision and ability to handle several projects simultaneously. Computer experience including the use of e-mail, internet, ability to navigate a parts lookup software package and general ability to read diagrams. The individual must be able to lift machines, with a dolly, lift and carry up to 100lbs without the assistance of another person and be able to stand/sit for most of an eight-hour shift. Position requires occasional overnight travel, must be able to pass a drug test, have a good driving record and dependable transportation to and from work frequent lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and driving. Must be able to pass DOT examine. Must have good driving record. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – Graduation from High School is required. At least one year of field experience in the laundry business or previous electrical, mechanical experience/education is preferred.
