If you’re eager to learn and grow in the exciting world of environmental consulting this position is for you.You will join a strong group of engineers and environmental professionals that make up a center of excellence for regulatory compliance services within Terracon.This position will have a primary focus as a project manager for a variety of regulatory compliance projects. As project manager, you will be responsible for managing clients and projects from the proposal phase through successful project completion. This includes opportunities to become team members with an interesting array of industrial clients and being part of the team that provides ongoing consulting services at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Primary tasks include projects involving:

Air emissions calculations, permit application development, and evaluation of control technologies

Industrial wastewater treatment system evaluation, permitting, sampling, and reporting

Hazardous waste consulting

SPCC Plan and SWPPP Preparation

SARA Title III reporting

Remediation system design

Stormwater permitting and compliance

This position will work with and oversee other staff members to prepare engineering calculations, complete reports, conduct field work, and perform site evaluations. Terracon also includes geotechnical, materials testing, and facilities services. Following safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects

Assisting in performing site visits, site observations, and data collection

Field work including environmental sampling and testing

Preparation of compliance reports and permit applications for clients

Review of federal, state, and local regulations

Review of issued permits to determine required compliance actions

Preparation of air emission calculations and permit applications

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, chemical engineering preferred

5 to 7 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry

Experience managing environmental regulatory compliance projects

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred

Professional engineer (PE) license

Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Hybrid schedule with ability to work from the office or remotely with core office days specified
