Advantage Educational Programs is seeking dynamic, qualified math and English instructors in the Rochester area, including Faribault, Cannon Falls and New Prague, to teach our ACT college prep courses. We provide instructors with training, teaching materials, and instruction manuals, as well as attractive wages of $40 per hour plus travel expense compensation. Instructors are required to possess a degree from an accredited college or university and a valid teaching certificate.
The ACT Preparatory Course, beginning in September, is a 12-hour course that typically meets one day each week for four weeks. Most of our classes are conducted in the early evening hours (5:00 - 8:00 PM) and on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Classes are offered at more than 30 high schools in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, Rochester, Faribault, Cannon Falls and New Prague.
A few of our instructors teach both the math/science portion and the English/reading/writing portion of the courses, however, most teach in combination with another instructor one teacher instructing the math/science portion for one-half of the course and the other teacher instructing the English/reading/writing portion during the other half of the course. Some of our instructors teach five or six days per week while others prefer to teach only two or three days per week. We are flexible to your wants and needs but we do require our instructors to be available to teach on Saturday mornings and occasionally on Saturday afternoons.
