Position Description: Food Service Manager (Institutional setting)
40 hours a week will include every other weekend.
As a Food Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the operation at the location. You will be an integral part of ensuring that everyone is served and safety practices are executed to the highest level. Food Service Manager responsibilities include:
Hands-on cooking daily with clean up of the kitchen
Managing and developing a team
Scheduling labor / Staff accountability / Payroll
Controlling food cost
Maintaining inventory
Ordering food and supplies
Menu development/menu creativity
Problem Solving / Quality Assurance
Sanitation Inspections
Building rapport with the client
Ensuring excellent customer service
Among other assigned duties
Minimum / Preferred Qualifications:
Prior management experience in the food service industry is required
Prior culinary experience required
Must be able to pass a background check.
