Lantech Communications LLC is hiring experienced Fiber Technicians for residential and commercial installations across Minnesota, Michigan, and Illinois.
This is a 1099 contractor position — steady work, weekly pay, and opportunities to grow with a leading telecom contractor.
Job Overview
Type: 1099 Contractor
Work: 90% Fiber New Installs / 10% Upgrades & Trouble Calls
Schedule: 6 days/week (Sunday off), log in by 7AM, work until 7PM
Pay: $1900+ avg weekly check
Pay Structure: Paid per job, 2–4 jobs/day depending on experience & season
Pay Schedule: Weekly pay (with a 2-week hold)

Responsibilities
Perform fiber installations, fusion splicing, troubleshooting, and customer education.
Work safely with ladders, drills, attics, and crawl spaces.
Maintain professionalism and quality workmanship.
Requirements
Experience with fiber installation or coax preferred.
Must have a 28-ft ladder and be able to lift/climb safely.
Vehicle: White minivan/SUV/pickup/cargo van with roof racks (rental option available – $150/week).
Tools: Basic cable & fiber tools ($600 on Amazon) + smartphone.
Fusion Splicer: Can be rented for $30/week.
Training: $1000 paid after completion (2 weeks approx).
Bonuses
Referral Bonus: $500 for new techs, $1000 for experienced techs (paid when referred tech receives first check).
Sign-On Bonus: Available for qualified candidates.
