ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with the internal teams and external suppliers to design and develop a high-speed mixed signal chip that is in the signal path used for recording and playback of digital information stored on a Hard Disk Drive (HDD)Perform component level characterization and complete evaluation of electronic devicesCollect bench measurements of high frequency analog parameters as well as verification of digital circuitry using third party and internal evaluation boardsModify existing test scripts as well as developing new test scripts for automation (Experience with Tool Command Language TCL is a plus)Complete HDD level testing and component level failure analysisDevelop comprehensive test plans and prototype test solutions to verify component functionalityDocument experiments and publish detailed engineering reportsInterface with chip designers, communicate findings, verify work-arounds and corrective actionsInterface with internal functional groups local and overseasSupport HDD development teams to establish device settings and identify parameters to optimize system-level performance
