Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionTanker trucks come into the fill station, which is enclosed. The driver of the tanker will step out, and the filler operators will have a work order for the required chemicals. The filler operator will then go into the controls room, select the correct chemical needed by the tanker driver, and apply all of the proper safety gear, which includes rubber boots, rubber overalls, rubber jacket, and a full face shield. They will bring a large hose to the top of a messining (staircase), lower themselves onto the top of the tanker using a lift gate at the top of the messining, hook up the hose, go back into the filler room, and run the chemicals to the correct valves. They will then go back up the messining, open the valves to fill the tanker truck, select the right amount going into the tankers, and tag off the top of the tanker sealing the correct chemicals into the tanker. Additionally, they will drive forklifts to move barrels or totes to filling areas and fill them by connecting hoses to the correct chemical by weight. This includes small batch fills, scraping labels off of totes and barrels, cleaning used totes and barrels, and performing other labor tasks around the facility.Responsibilities

Operate fill station to load chemicals onto tanker trucks.

Apply proper safety gear including rubber boots, overalls, jacket, and full face shield.

Select and manage the correct chemicals required for each tanker truck.

Hook up hoses to tanker trucks and manage the filling process.

Drive forklifts to move barrels or totes to filling areas.

Conduct small batch fills and maintain cleanliness of used totes and barrels.

Perform additional labor tasks around the facility.

Essential Skills

3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

2+ years of experience documenting work, such as outbound shipments or quality checks on parts manufactured.

Strong computer skills for entering information, pulling orders, and tracking orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Chemical filling experience is preferred.

The work takes place in a chemical manufacturing plant's filling station, which involves loading chemical products onto trucks. The job can be laborious, requiring walking up and down messining to hook the hose up to the truck and fill it. Candidates wear full rubber suits, hard helmets, and face shields when filling the trucks. The chemicals are not dangerous if all necessary safety equipment and PPEs are worn.
