Description We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role involves analyzing science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving existing systems, reviewing computer system capabilities, and resolving workflow and scheduling limitations.Responsibilities: Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers. Prepare cost-benefit analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation. Confer with clients regarding the nature of their information processing or computation needs. Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and facilitate information sharing. Apply verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills in everyday tasks. Work independently and manage one's time effectively. Utilize design techniques and principles involved in the production of drawings and models. Apply basic knowledge of computer software such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems. Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Requirements Proficiency in SQL and Java. Ability to design, review, and automate business systems. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Knowledge of consumer electronics. Experience with scheduling and time management. Understanding of business unit principles. Ability to translate user requirements into system specifications. Proficiency in Visual Basic (VB) and data processing. Familiarity with computer systems and engineering principles. Ability to perform complex computations. Adept at reviewing and improving procedures. Experience in production and automation. Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field preferred. Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field. Knowledge of benefit functions and ability to implement them in business systems. Familiarity with drawing software for design purposes.
