DescriptionMedication Aide (TMA)Location: Saint Paul, MNPay: $19/hr. DOE + up to $1.50 shift differentialShift available:
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM -7:30pm (EOW)All full-time positions will require every other weekend commitment
Job Duties:
Administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains medical records under the supervision of a nurse.
Verifies identity of the patient receiving medication and records the name of the drug, and time of administration on specified forms or databases.
Presents medication to a patient observes ingestion or other application or administers medication using specified procedures.
May take vital signs or observes patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
Records and restock medication inventories.
Maintains patient confidence and protects the facility by keeping information confidential.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Interested in being certified as a TMA (Trained Medication Aide), we will train you!
