Sleepy Eye, MN, USA | Salary | Administration-NPC | Full Time Position Overview & Responsibilities: This position will provide HR support for specified departments across several HR disciplines including: Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, HR training and development, Orientation and Onboarding. This role partners with business stakeholders to drive organizational results through people processes and management practices. The position is hybrid within office time based out of our Sleepy Eye, MN headquarters. Current requirement is 3 days in-office per week. Major Areas of Accountability: EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
Provide employee relations support for managers and employees at field locations.
Respond to employee complaints and conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations on appropriate resolutions.
Provide regular updates of employee relations activity at field locations.
In partnership with managers, develops employee engagement strategies to improve overall engagement and foster Christensen Farms culture.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Advise on discipline and termination decisions to ensure risk is minimized and appropriate processes are followed.
Provides guidance to managers on motivating employees to achieve or exceed goals.
Support managers through performance management processes and goal setting.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Provides recommendations to the HR Leadership team and Regional/Department Leaders to improve management understanding of procedures, responsibilities, or strategies within job scope.
Facilitate various HR process training and development training as needed.
Partners with Training and Development team to develop training initiatives and content that improve upon organizational performance.
Support Managers to ensure that training provided by Training and Development team is applied and achieving intended outcomes.
TALENT ACQUISITION
Responsible for partnering with managers to identify talent needs and recruiting for an assigned region(s).
Participate in community and university recruitment activities.
Developing strategies that attract talent into the organization.
Actively recruit for requisitions as volume dictates
ORIENTATION AND ONBOARDING
Responsible for ensuring new team members receive the appropriate orientation and onboarding to the organization.
Partner with managers and leaders to build a welcoming environment.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies.
Participate in initiatives related to retention and onboarding work.
Provide guidance to managers and ensure that all company job descriptions are up to date and accurate.
Partner with SME's and managers on FMLA, LOA, WC to ensure you are actively engaged on employee status.
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in Human Resources Management or related field or equivalent experience; minimum of 5 years Human Resource Generalist experience with a strong emphasis in employee relations . HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
This candidate will have thorough knowledge of state and employment regulations, employment law, EEO, and ADA guidelines and requirements.
Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel overnight up to 25%.
Ability to utilize independent judgment to effectively manage time-sensitive situations with the ability to escalate high pressure/risk situations.
Must have the appropriate level of assertiveness to have influence on the various parties (managers, claim handlers) to reach the best outcome as it pertains to organizational risk.
Must possess exceptional organizational skills to ensure appropriate and timely follow-up through on all situations.
Candidate must be bilingual in Spanish.
