Systems West Inc is seeking a reliable and skilled Construction Worker to join our specialized steel building construction team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and values safety on every job site.
About the Position
We are hiring for a full-time construction worker to assist with steel building construction projects including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, hangars, and other commercial/industrial structures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in steel construction with a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with steel frame erection and assembly
Install metal roofing, siding, and wall systems
Operate hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment safely
Read and interpret structural drawings and steel building plans
Assist with crane operations and material handling
Install doors, windows, and accessories in steel buildings
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Work collaboratively with team members, crane operators, and supervisors
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of steel construction or structural steel experience preferred (will train motivated candidates)
Experience with rigging and material handling a plus
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work with heavy steel components
Comfortable working at significant heights with fall protection systems
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Must pass background check and drug screening
