Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with mechanical and electrical skills. This work will be in the Food Manufacturing sector working for a company that uses the finest quality product for fresh, never frozen vegetable blends using an all-natural process to enhance vegetable shelf life. The manufacturing facility is a fifty-person production operation. They have various systems and machinery that facilitate the proprietary preservation treatment application, vacuum seal, and distribution processes.

The Maintenance Technician will join an existing three-person maintenance team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and production equipment that operate in the manufacturing facility. Collaborating with team members, the technician will safely perform tasks to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and long-term efficiency of machinery. This is a full-time position reporting to the company President.

Responsibilities Include:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and equipment.

Troubleshoot, repair, replace, align, and maintain industrial food manufacturing machinery, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment.

Log and report issues and provide feedback for long-term machinery use/efficiency.

Provide input on critical spare parts based on overall risk.

Conduct repairs and installations of electrical components and fixtures as needed.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with operators and management while troubleshooting equipment.

Apply problem solving methods to identify root causes and eliminate failure.

Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schemes.

Regularly inspect electrical systems and components to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.

Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to address electrical and mechanical issues.

One shift, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work as necessary.

You Will Need:

Technical degree or equivalent work experience

Experience in troubleshooting technical issues (Electrical & Mechanical).

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environments.

Must be able to bend and stoop for 6+ hours per shift.

Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift.

Must be able to grasp and reach for up to 6+ hours per shift.

Must be able to operate in a cooler, refrigerated environment (42-43 degrees F) for extended periods of time.
