The MNIT DHS team supports complex and varied technical needs, including systems that provide health care coverage, deliver child protection and welfare services, and provide support for Minnesotans with special needs including mental illness, chemical dependencies, and physical or developmental disabilities.As the IT Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the centralized IT hardware and software procurement, purchasing and inventory control function for MNIT partnering with DHS and MNsure. You will ensure that hardware, software, training, and IT support services are purchased and renewed in the most cost and time efficient manner. This position also serves as a mediator within the organization, to resolve conflicts among hardware and software vendors, procurement staff, and other technical staff. This position performs in a lead capacity within the Core Services team under the Centralized Administration and Operations Division.This position is currently eligible for full-time telework:

Experience in coordinating office operations such as managing invoices and purchase orders, procurement of office supplies, and travel administration.
Developing and documenting processes and procedures.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) sufficient to create and modify emails, letters, documents, reports, charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Teams as a collaboration tool, including creating and maintaining Teams sites and organizing, maintaining, and sharing content.
Expert knowledge of the English language and business communication, sufficient to produce clear, comprehensive, emails, reports and memos using correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure construction.
Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Office Administration, or related field substitutes for two (2) years of experience, OR an Business Administration, Office Administration, or related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the MNIT, DHS, & MNsure organizations, especially in the areas of policies, procedures, programs, systems, and contacts related to procurement and invoice processing.
Knowledge of SWIFT.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in independent decision making and establishing priorities.
Multi-tasking ability to shift priorities and remain organized and balanced when there are multiple assignments of varying complexity with competing priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive and respectful working relationships with diverse clientele, both internal and external.
IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) certification.
