Job Description

The Software Validation Engineer will contribute to the software validation process and provide hand-on software validation for products developed for the Automotive Aftermarket. The individual will provide SW validation support to program teams by defining system level validation requirements.

This hands-on position will define, develop, and maintain automated SW test environments to improve efficiency, consistency, and schedule predictability. The individual will be responsible for interfacing between the design team and the product team and will ensure that the product meets or exceeds the user and quality requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

• Testing Embedded applications, Android apps web based applications.
• Creating automated test scripts, test programs and integration testing.
• Executing black and white box tests and assisting developers with issue analysis.
• Analyze and document defects, providing explanation of defects and impacts.
• Develop and establish test methods for new applications, extent test methods for enhancement of current products for throughout product life cycle.
• Communicate test progress and test results to stake holders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science or related Bachelor's Degree required
• 3+ years of validation experience
• Familiar with the Agile Development methods for software.
• Experience in engineering of products consisting of electronic, software, and mechanical content, with history of meeting schedule, scope and budgets.
• Access, Excel or SQL database development and analysis tool development experience.
• Knowledge about product architecture, functionalities
• Knowledge about technologies used in electronics, firmware and software
