Description We seek a detail-oriented, temporary Medical Data Entry Specialist to assist our healthcare team with the processing and entering of incoming faxes and medical records. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely handling of patient information, which supports our commitment to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is organized, proficient with data entry, and understands the importance of confidentiality in handling medical information.
Receive, sort, and accurately input data from incoming faxes and electronic medical records into our database.
Verify and ensure the accuracy of patient information and medical data before entry.
Communicate with medical staff to resolve discrepancies or clarify information as needed.
Organize and maintain digital records, ensuring they are accessible and updated promptly.
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and all relevant privacy regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Assist in basic office tasks related to data management and organization.

Previous experience in medical data entry or medical records handling is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology is a plus.
