The incumbent provides training services to build capacity in local fire departments and help ensure that fire/rescue providers meet standards of competence.Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts training sessions for fire fighters throughout the region and occasionally statewide.

Contributes to the development of comprehensive fire service training curriculum to meet current and evolving community needs and certifications standards.

Coaches and mentors other fire service leaders.

Develops the strategic, tactical, and technical skills of fire/rescue service members and trainers.

Oversees the management of training services including supervising staff and contractors, marketing the program, and evaluating trainers and trainees.

Performing other duties as necessary to ensure that local fire and rescue organizations are successful.

This position requires extensive travel throughout the north central part of the state and occasionally statewide, works frequent evenings and weekends, and requires operating a variety of mobile training props and educational equipment.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrated ability developing productive relationships with customers and organizations including fire service organizations.

Demonstrated ability performing the skills required for Fire Fighter and Fire Officer.

Demonstrated ability using national professional qualifications standards-based training for the fire service.

Demonstrated ability coaching fire fighters at basic and advanced job performance requirements.

Demonstrated ability with a variety of teaching methodologies, including simulation and performance-based training and testing.

Demonstrated ability conducting fire service training needs assessments.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in the Fire/Rescue field, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or other pertinent area.

Experience providing training to small, rural fire departments that have limited resources as well as larger departments with full-time members.

Experience as a chief fire officer in career or volunteer departments.

Demonstrated ability in any of the following areas: technical rescue, fire investigation, code enforcement, emergency medical, hazardous materials or wild-land firefighting.

Montana Fire Fighter 1 and 2 certifications

Certification as an EMT or Paramedic

The Practice Manager partners with the COS (if applicable) to operate an effective and productive hospital team, ensure a safe and engaging hospital environment, and improve both the medical quality and business performance of the hospital. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS  Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.  Partner with the Chief of Staff (if applicable) to manage the hospital as role models and champions of the Banfield brand to provide consistent high quality care and exceptional service to the most pets and clients and to maximize efficiency, productivity and profitability.
