Fixed Assets AccountantJob Description:
Maintaining sales tax exemption certificates
Interpreting and complying with state, local and international statutes, regulations, and legislation
Responsible for property tax reporting
Reconcile all fixed asset and accumulated depreciation general ledger accounts, including Construction in Progress
Prepare monthly fixed assets roll forward schedule, depreciation and capex schedules
Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset system including analyzing capital projects, asset additions, asset transfers, asset retirements, and running depreciation
Review assigned expense and capital ledger accounts to ensure all expenditures comply with Accounting Policies and GAAP
Assist with annual audit and tax requests
Perform special projects assigned by management
Skills:Fixed asset, Journal entry, Fixed assets accounting, Sales tax, General ledger, Month end, excel pivot tables, Income taxQualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required, with field of study or emphasis in accounting
Experience: 2+ years of experience in general accounting and fixed asset management. Property and sales tax experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient skills with Microsoft Excel and Word. Previous experience working in QAD and/or CCH ProSystem a plus.
