OverviewThe Preclinical Curriculum Administrator is responsible for initiating and coordinating the administrative functions required for the effective operation of the preclinical curriculum. He/she is responsible for developing the synchronous system for administration of the preclinical curriculum and for grading and tracking student performance. ResponsibilitiesThe Preclinical Curriculum Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative activities for the preclinical department including, but not limited to, the following:
Establishes student recordkeeping system
Maintains recordkeeping systems for student grades
Establishes Early Warning System
Tracks students using Early Warning System and identifies students of concern
Creates student grade reports for the Student Promotions Committee meetings
Prepares quarterly student reports for Student Promotions Committee, Preclinical Dean, and faculty advisors
Instructs students on use of exam software
Supervises and schedules exam proctors
Administers student exams
Grades student exams
Prepares exam analysis for faculty
Distributes exam grades to students
Plans academic calendar and course schedules
Coordinates exam schedule with faculty
Distributes and maintains course calendars for faculty and students
Builds, revises and distributes yearly Course Documentation
Sets up student lab groups
Liaise with students and facilitates with students
QualificationsEducation/Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
1-3 years administrative experience
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Outlook
