Psychometrics InternshipPearson is offering an 8-week internship in the summer of 2024 for two doctoral students with outstanding psychometric skills who wish to gain experience in large-scale educational assessment. The internship will include hands-on experience working with operational K–12 assessments. Specific activities may include various aspects of assessment development, item analysis, standard setting, and technical reporting.LOCATION: VirtualINTERNSHIP GOALS :Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of Pearson research scientists to:1) Gain applied experience on many of the tasks involved in supporting an operational K–12 assessment contract;2) Enhance understanding of ways to collaborate and communicate about educational measurement.QUALIFICATIONS:Interns should be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in educational measurement, educational statistics, educational psychology, or a similar program. At least two years of doctoral-level coursework must be completed prior to the summer of 2023. Interns should have strong written and verbal communication skills.
