Job Responsibilities
performs clerical, maintenance and administrative support duties
prepares reports and provides information to board of trustees
performs accounting tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable
monitors district budget
creates and maintains databases and records of lot purchases and ownership
performs reception duties
responds to information requests
assists visitors
maintains office files; receives, sorts, delivers and responds to mail
directs, assigns and coordinates work of laborers and groundskeepers
assists with the maintenance of the cemetery including mowing, trimming, weed eating, watering, fencing, road work and burials
performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
State statutes and County regulations governing cemeteries and cemetery districts
Lewis and Clark County policies and procedures
Forestvale Cemetery policies and procedures
safety regulations and procedures
supervisory practices and procedures
business English and grammar
tool and equipment repair and maintenance procedures
ground maintenance procedures
use computer hardware and software, including word processing, spreadsheet and payroll programs
use common office machines
prepare reports according to office standards
maintain files and records according to office standards
communicate effectively verbally and in writing
use hand tools and equipment according to prescribed standards
implement equipment maintenance schedules
follow verbal and written instructions
establish effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, and citizens
Required QualificationsThe above knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and one (1) year administrative support, groundskeeping, or related experience. Associates Degree in Office Technology or equivalent is preferred.
