JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process as a standard, incorporating elements of holistic family centered care through the collection, verification and organization of data about a patient’s health status, planning for care, implementation of the plan and evaluation. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room/OR oversees and directs the care of surgical patients. The Surgery RN is responsible for the care of patients in all-surgical specialties. The RN serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, the RN will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to accept responsibility as a staff RN (job specific). EDUCATION: Graduate of professional school of nursing. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current Montana License as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification required. CNOR preferred. Aptitudes: Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations. Open to feedback and open to a changing environment, which requires flexibility in scheduling and department assignments. 16080.10/12

  • Hospice Cer tified home health nursing aide\'s (CHHA) main role is to provide direct patient care in the home or setting where the patient refers to as home. Hospice Certified home health aides perform basic duties such as bathing, assistance with activities of daily living, safety and vital signs. The CHHA must demonstrate competency with all core skills as required by the Certified Nursing Assistant licensure. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Understands basic knowledge of ethical issues and is able to provide care to terminally ill patients. Provides caring holistic person-centered care. Demonstrates knowledge of basic infection control practices, such as hand washing technique. The CHHA is under supervision of the Hospice clinical coordinator/supervisor and/or director. Ability to communicate with the Hospice RN case manager for concerns that may arise in the home while performing patient care. On a daily basis communicate with the CHHA scheduler. The CHHA follows an individualized plan of care that is developed by the RN case manager. The CHHA will demonstrate an understanding of the plan of care prior to the first visit with patient. Maintains HIPPA compliance. Has a general understanding of regulatory compliance to assure the provision of safe, quality care.
