Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Detail Oriented Services industry, located in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The workplace will be a fast-paced environment where the focus will be on managing accounting functions and auditing tasks. Responsibilities: Efficiently process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy in all entries. Regularly perform payment runs every week. Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) inbox, addressing all incoming queries and issues. Audit expense reports using Concur, approving them as necessary. Maintain meticulous records of customer credit and AP invoices. Leverage Concur Expense for auditing and tracking expenses manually. Adopt and implement efficiencies for better organization in a high-volume position. Ensure strong communication within the team and with external stakeholders. Requirements Proficiency in using Concur for managing expenses and invoices Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions and principles Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Ability to conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations Advanced skills in using Concur Expense for streamlining expense reporting processes Strong analytical skills for identifying errors and discrepancies in financial records Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation Solid organizational skills for managing large volumes of invoices and payments Strong communication skills for liaising with vendors and resolving payment issues Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet financial deadlines Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite for managing financial data Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferable. OR 2) Must have been facility rated, or area certified for at least 1-year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility. NOTE: An employee who has been facility rated, or area certified for at least 1-year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position. OR 3) Must have held a MSS position for at least 1-year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
