Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. The accounting team is growing quickly and is looking for someone interested in great career growth potential and a great benefits package. Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties. The strongest candidates for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position will be self-starters with high attention to detail, ready to handle 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Kansas City, Kansas area.What you get to do every single day
Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Verify documents and codes
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment
Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular
High attention to detail
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Efficient in ERP systems
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
