Position Overview
We are seeking an organized and collaborative Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Coordinator to oversee the planning, implementation, and compliance of the ESY program. The coordinator will ensure that all services align with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and that staff are supported in delivering high-quality instruction and services.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate all aspects of the ESY program, including scheduling, staffing, and student groupingsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulationsReview student IEPs to confirm appropriate ESY services and supports are in placeSupervise and support ESY staff, including teachers and paraprofessionalsCoordinate related services (e.g., speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy)Monitor implementation of IEP goals and ensure accurate data collection and documentationProvide guidance on behavior supports and instructional strategiesServe as the primary point of contact for families and staff during ESYAddress concerns, problem-solve, and ensure a safe, supportive program environmentOversee completion of progress reports and required documentation
