Hiring Pipe Welders for $35/hour and $125 per diem days workedJob DescriptionPerform specialized weld functions required in the production of heat and transfer equipment, primarily using Flux Core and TIG welding techniques. The candidate must proficiently weld in an out-of-position manner across a minimum of twelve procedures, including FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, and at least two specialty procedures such as small diameter pipe, tube to tubesheet, subarc, overlay, or stress. The role also includes reading and interpreting shop blueprints, operating overhead cranes and forklifts, setting up and operating arc-air equipment, managing weld rod control, performing in-process inspections and NDE, understanding the effects of interpass/temp/heat input on distortion during and after welding with steels and alloys, performing minor maintenance on welding equipment, and executing layouts and basic fit-up and assembly operations.Job TypeThis is a contract position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Joplin, Missouri.Work Environment2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 1:30am Monday - Thursday.
