St. Bull Staffing is seeking to fill the position of: Sous Chef

Under the general direction of the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will oversee and participate in the planning, preparation and execution of food courses in a fine dining establishment.

General Responsibilities

Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of food courses

Monitor activities of individuals in food preparation process to ensure safety and compliance

Coordination of the timing of food production activities

Train food preparation or food service personnel

Create new recipes or food presentation plans

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 3 years experience as a chef in a restaurant and/or hotel environment

Experience preparing buffet lines

A minimum of an Associate’s degree in the culinary arts or a related field (or equivalent)

An accredited culinary certification

Skills

Dependability - reliable, responsible and dependable in the fulfillment of obligations

Flexibility - open to change and variety in the workplace

Leadership - effective ability to lead, take charge as well as offer opinions and directions

Stress Tolerance - effectively manage stress in fast-paced, high energy situations
