You’re a motivated rising senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas listed below from an accredited college or university:

Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Engineering Technology Management

This is a learning-intensive program designed to give you essential business insights and hands-on experience in your field of choice. It’s a full-time, 10-week commitment from May 28, 2025, through August 1, 2025.

What you can expect in this roleAs a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.Internship responsibilities may include:

Collaborate with experienced team members to contribute to software development projects.

Apply object-oriented programming skills to create efficient and robust code.

Gain hands-on experience with Java and contribute to the development of Java-based applications.

Perform thorough unit testing for requirements and code coverage.

Participate in code reviews.

Gain Experience working in DevOps model.

Perform analysis/investigation to determine root cause of identified code/data issues.

Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Participate in continuous performance improvement sessions to discuss opportunities to improve processes or standards.

Here’s what it takes to get startedRequired qualifications

Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2025 - May 2026

Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program

Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program

Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship

Partner with developers and testers to create software deployment plans. Build tools for automated deployment. Design and develop in accordance with established standards. Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code. Package and support deployment of releases. Prepare and deploy new modules and upgrades. Complete fixes within the production environment. Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications. Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties. Responsible for compliance with company engineering standards, policies, and procedures. Maintain relationships with peers, team, and other organizations and vendors.
