Description We are providing an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the machinery manufacturing industry based in Saint Louis, Missouri. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be engaged in an array of administrative tasks, including the processing of invoices and maintaining vendor information, contributing to the efficient operation of our financial department. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage the entry and review of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Handle internal employee expense report entries, contributing to the overall financial accountability Aid in the maintenance of vendor information within the ERP system, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records Participate in the selection process for weekly supplier check/wire payments Support in the documentation retention process, safeguarding company records Contribute to the improvement of overall accounts payable procedures, enhancing operational efficiency Monitor open purchase orders and provide support for Goods Received/Invoice Received (GR/IR) Conduct other ad hoc tasks as assigned, supporting the overall function of the financial department Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Filing to enhance job performance and efficiency. Requirements Must have a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and principles. Prior experience in the machinery manufacturing industry would be advantageous. Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail for accurate data entry. Proficiency in using computer software for accounting purposes. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with suppliers and resolving discrepancies. Demonstrable experience in maintaining and organizing a filing system. Should have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to team goals. High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required; further education in finance or a related field would be a plus.
