A leader who inspires and motivates people to achieve transformational change.This role leads the regional Phlebotomy, Courier/Logistics, Day/STAT laboratories, Hospital TSA, CTA and Accessioning Teams. This position is based in the West Subdivision central to the four states of coverage (MO, IL, IN, KY) (consideration will be given to internal applicants for remote locations).The individual must live in the West Subdivision, preferably near Indianapolis IN, Louisville KY or St. Louis MOYou must have the ability to relate professionally and deliver messaging with all levels of the organization throughout multiple geographies, strong analytical abilities, the ability to motivate others, strong organizational and research skills, excellent time management, exemplary written and verbal communications, and great people leadership capabilities.Through Field Operations and People management, this role will focus on five primary areas:

Quality and customer care

Development of efficiencies in supply chain and diagnostics/

Service to internal and external clients

Regulatory Compliance and focus

Strong financial and budget management

Field Operations

Monitor and track delivery to ensure that thresholds for service are met

Track and analyze productivity metrics for each field operations area against the company productivity standard:

Accessioning ensure target metrics are hit based on req type

Phlebotomy measure the performance scorecards of staff, Net Promoter Scores (NPS), and track monthly P&L for each patient service center as it relates, headcount, revenue to expense, and overtime.

Logistics vendor cost and overtime analysis, and maintain efficiencies in courier routes

Laboratory ensure metrics are met in time sensitive day/STAT labs; monitor customer/client service goals and ability to reach TAT objectives

TSA/CTA labs monitor costs and ensure compliance with contracts. Make recommendations on contract changes to ensure adequate margin.

Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to identify value added services and address the resources and operational needs of the sub-division necessary to contribute to client and patient satisfaction

Review the staffing models to address inefficiencies and implement changes when necessary and oversee process to approve/deny headcount requests; actively manage labor FTE needs based on business models

Drive customer and patient satisfaction ensuring timely responses to all matters, includes monitoring and creating actionable strategies to improve NPS results

Monitor the overtime spending, contract labor, travel and overall budget on a regular basis to ensure proper allocation of cost and labor

Work directly with the sales and leasing team to analyze and assess the operational requirements to open new and evaluation of existing patient service site locations: example activities include allocation of space needs and site set-up, staffing needs, and adherence to regulatory compliance standards;

Continuously assess the health of field operations to further efficiencies, focus on quality and improve production to drive the achievement of the division's goals and objectives

Report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues as it relates to company SOPs and protocols, confidentiality, and state/federal regulations.

Travel as required throughout 4 state region including overnight travel as necessary

People Management

Oversee and manage a team of managers and coach, support, develop and provide guidance to managers on how best to assess and manage employees' performance

Develop a positive work environment and drive employee engagement to improve performance and reduce employee turnover

Maintains the required staffing levels to meet performance targets and ensure staff is properly trained

Monitor team's performance and ensure proper resources for team members to do their job effectively

Requirements:

BS/BA degree w/7-10 years of related experience

5+ years of experience managing people including Team Lead/Supervisor level and above staff and indirect leadership of large sized teams (250+ employees) spread across multiple geographies.

5+ years working in a hospital environment, managing staffing, scheduling and managing multiple testing disciplines.

Working knowledge of the laboratory, phlebotomy, accessioning and logistics functional areas highly preferred.

Prior medical technologist experience highly preferred.

Experience managing a large, decentralized team as well as customer and vendor relationships

Excellent communication skills; both written and oral; experienced communicating with all levels of an organization across multiple geographies

Experience with managing costs and the overall departmental budget

Strong leadership, development, organizational and time management skills

Prior experience in supply chain and operations management preferred

Ability to problem solve customer issues

Working knowledge and adherence to compliance standards set forth by federal/state and diagnostic laboratory regulations highly preferred

Ability to travel up to 60% of time throughout region

Must have a Valid Driver's License

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Director has an opportunity to grow the donor base for Global Protect and works within an excellent fundraising team/infrastructure. The Director is externally and internally focused with two main responsibilities. First, they are responsible for growing our protection focused donor prospect pipeline and for continuing to manage a portfolio of prospective donors. Second, they are responsible for socializing Global Protect priorities to key audiences internal to the Conservancy and coordinating, networking, and partnering with fundraisers internally to support their work with donors that support and/or are interested in Global Protect priorities or to grow new interest. Specifically, the Director is responsible for: Working with Global Protect leadership and other TNC leaders and development staff to develop, execute, and communicate a develo ment vision and fundraising plan for the Global Protect business unit that aligns with TNC\'s global campaign and multi-year fundraising goals, with accountability to achieve these goals. Directly - and through supporting fundraisers throughout the organization - to raise at least $10 Million in gifts and pledges annually for the Global Protect business unit at the least restricted level possible. Leads fundraising efforts with others to help raise at least an additional $20-25 Million annually to directly support protection priority programs around the organization. Leads and manages the Global Protect fundraising team, including two direct reports and multiple indirect reports, to execute on the fundraising plan and support a networked approach to fundraising for Global Protect priorities. Leading the feasibility analysis related to the health of the donor pipeline and adjust the fundraising plan accordingly. Establishing and monitoring activity level benchmarks and measures of success pertaining to pipeline growth, donor engagement, # of solicitations, dollars raised annually. Serving as a liaison with the principal gifts fundraising team and network, the global priority development team, as well as other key relationship managers and senior conservation staff to build the best and most robust donor strategies and solicitations - ensuring we represent and communicate the synergies between all of the global priority areas to our donors. Serving on the Global Protect Leadership Team and contributing to the overall strategy and vision of Global Protect priorities, including alignment with management priorities, communications, and financial management and related systems. Partnering with leadership to leverage their contacts, relationships and talents related to donor and investor pipeline development and donor and investor engagement and stewardship. Working closely with and managing relations with key stakeholders including senior management, internal teams, donors, investors and volunteers to achieve program goals. Coordinating with, and influencing, a network of internal relationship managers to grow their understanding and awareness of Global Protect priorities around the world to help advance bigger gifts for global protection work. Socializing our Protect program and priorities to fundraisers and key leaders throughout the organization. The DoD is a member of the Global Priorities Development Team (within Principal Gifts) and sits on the Global Protect Ocean, Lands and Fresh Water Leadership Team. The Director reports directly to the Director of Global Priorities Development with a dotted line to the Global Managing Director for Protect and the Protect leadership team. This position also manages two Associate Directors of Development for Global Protect and works closely with an expanded network of development colleagues supporting protection priorities.
