Key Responsibilities:

Prepares and presents in approved format, educational materials to clients.

Provides an environment for learning and discussion that is safe, supportive, respectful, and culturally sensitive.

Acquires adult education training as identified and scheduled by supervisor.

Evaluates and communicates client participation in groups to team members.

Documents client attendance, level of participation, synopsis, and summary of each group facilitated.

Observes and maintains standards in accordance with agency policy and procedure.

Documents services appropriately and timely using agency approved formats in an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. Documenting services that clearly describe the need for the service, the intervention provided, the date, actual time and setting of the service, and the individual’s response to the service.

Immediately reports situations, which in the reasonable judgment of the staff may indicate an immediate threat to the physical or psychological wellbeing of clients or staff immediately or as prudently possible to supervisor or other, available supervisory person.

Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience and/or Education Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field;

OR

High School or General Equivalency Diploma and two (2) years responsible employment history.

Employees in this position may be required to apply for Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) credential.
