The Hiring Manager ensures that candidates selected and hired have the best Harvest Market qualifications and characteristics.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively conducts recruitment plans to staff store with associates that possess Harvest Market attributes

Recruits, interviews, and selects associates to fill vacant positions.

Plans and conducts new associate orientation to foster positive attitude toward Harvest Market goals.

Plans and conducts Harvest Market Sales Philosophy training and introduces new associates to all departments

Follows up with the new Associate on progress of training programs.

Develops and coordinates activities for Associates to foster the Harvest Market culture

Visits with Associates to ensure they feel they are part of the Harvest Market family.

Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

Ensures that the legal paperwork is correctly completed for the new hire.

Ensures personnel files are complete

Conducts training that Risk Management Director/Vice President of Human Resources request

Conducts annual sexual harassment training or as needed

Completes training accountability that Vice President of Human Resources request.

Completes safety training accountability that Director of Risk Management request

Assists Asset Protection Manager in investigations and/or audits

Assists the Store Director with community outreaches, activities and store events to promote Harvest Market.

Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

Responsible for diversity awareness

Attends staff meeting

Administers donation request.

Manages uniform ordering and uniform budget

Fills in for Operations as needed if time allows

Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Minimum of 2 years retail management experience

Knowledge of retail computer systems, Word and Excel a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
